Terms of service.
Under the Skin Portraits holds the copyright to all photographs worldwide. Clients are not permitted to sell their photos without our prior permission.
Even though we hold the copyright to the photographs taken, we will never sell them. If you see your headshots/photographs distributed by anyone other than us, or on any other medium other than our website or social media, they may have infringed on our copyright and your rights as artists. Please get in touch with us so we can take further action.
Once you make a booking, your chosen date and time are reserved for up to 24 hours. To secure your booking and session, you will need to pay the required deposit within 24 hours of receiving your invoice. If we do not receive your deposit within this timeframe, then your chosen time and date will be given to another client. If you pay the deposit after 24 hours, you are not guaranteed the agreed slot and may have to reschedule.
Deposits are non-refundable and count towards to total cost of your package.
If you have chosen a concession package, you must be able to prove you are eligible for one of our listed concession options. If you are not able to prove before or on the day of your session, you may be turned away at the door or your photos withheld until either:
proof has been provided.
in the instance that proof cannot be provided, the difference in payment for the non-concession rate has been made. We accept the following forms of proof, depending on your concession:
your student ID card, which is in date
a valid, in-date student Unidays membership
a valid ID which proves your age, if over 50
a current Universal Credit account you can log into at the start of the session.
you are an actor starting out (no professional credits), and/or this is your first professional headshot session.
We work on honesty at Under the Skin Portraits because we believe honesty is the foundation of relationships and trust building, so if it is discovered you have been untrue to secure our concession rate, it may result in a permanent black list from Under the Skin Portraits taking your headshot/photograph in the future.
You can reschedule your session up to 72 hours in advance of your chosen date free of charge. If, however, you want to reschedule within 72 hours of your session, it will incur a £20 charge that must be paid before you attend your session.
If you do not attend your session without informing us beforehand, you will not be able to reschedule it and won’t be able to put any costs you’ve already made towards your next session.
Any form of abuse will not be tolerated at any time during your session. If this happens, you will be asked to leave immediately, your photos will not be released to you, and it will result in a permanent ban from Under the Skin Portraits.
